Through Empowerment you Can Change your Life
We can’t always change the environment, but we can change how we act and react in that environment.
We can change the way we think about our self and others in that environment.
When using the power of intention to guide our experience, our goals begin to fall into place without the emotional distress that comes from trying so hard with little result. Acceptance is one of greatest challenges and can be quite difficult for many, particularly when it involves trauma, and yet acceptance helps foster change. Acceptance allows the struggle to rest and leaves space for new things to happen. My goal is help you create that space by gaining insight into your world. This change allows for making healthier choices in the way you act and react, and supports the foundation of balance and harmony.
An Integrative Approach
Integrative psychotherapy recognizes the inherent value of each individual. This model responds to the behavioral, cognitive, physiological and spiritual aspects of the individual. I am an integrative psychotherapist who is extremely enthusiastic and passionate about my work.
At the beginning of my career I was focused on the more conventional models of psychotherapy such as, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectal behavioral therapy), and psychodynamic therapy or “talk therapy”. Over time I’ve come to believe that in many cases this approach was lacking an integral part of the human experience—spirituality and more alternative approaches. It was then that I began to integrate conventional and alternative therapies.

HOW I WORK
When we allow intention and acceptance to guide our mind our body listens and responds. When we change our behavior our emotions will often change as well. Our entire experience of life changes when we become more conscious.
WHO I WORK WITH
I treat a variety of conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, borderline personality disorder, bi polar disorder, panic and obsessive-compulsive disorders, eating disorders, addictions and the more spiritual and existential dilemmas.
Empirically supported behavioral techniques
Basic and empirically supported behavioral techniques influence my practice. When we learn to connect with our higher self (whatever that means to you) it is possible to learn about our present fears, physical ailments and underlying unconscious issues. As your therapist I listen very carefully and, with you, decide which door to open in order to assist you in enjoying a loving and fulfilling life. Often in my work, my role develops into that of a life counselor. Once basic skills have been learned and one has gained insight into their life, it can be comforting to have support when tackling life’s struggles or contemplating change and acceptance. I help coach you on your journey.
